Last Saturday, the 28th of May, myself and Chris were lucky enough to showcase The Tie Collective at the inaugural Melbourne Dappertude event, held at Collins Quarters in the Melbourne CBD.

It was absolutely huge to see so many like minded businesses, bloggers and members of the public in one place and i'm sure all those fortunate enough to attend will be raving about their experience for months to come.

On the day, Chris and I were showcasing our five latest boxes, all of which were extremely well received, resulting in a lot of you purchasing them. Which we assure you, your boxes are on their way! Those who are yet to purchase get in quick as your unique codes have an expiry date at the end of the month.

We are grateful to all those who had a chance to come and say hello on the day and apologise to those we missed, i think you'll all agree it was hard to keep up with such a social crowd. A huge congratulations also goes out to the five winners of our boxes, we trust you will put them to good use and look forward to hearing your stories.

Guests were lucky enough to have a Q and A session with three of our favourite menswear influencers, @stevetillystyle, @theyounggent and @tri.edition and host @dapper_melbourne_man, who were kind enough to share their routines, opinions and forecasts on the day, something which, it's safe to say, the whole crowd enjoyed. We were also graced on stage by our old friend Shira, of Gent Sac, who shared some tips on grooming and particularly male skin care, as well as our new friends at George and King tailors who shared with the crowd the three F words to look for when buying a suit. Two pieces of information everyone will find very useful!

Overall, a great day was had by all involved and the chance to meet so many like minded individuals and share our story with them was an experience Chris and I will be forever grateful for. The result for us on a personal level was exceptional and we hope our story will inspire those on the day to follow their passions and believe in their own unique styles.

It's safe to say we will be rushing to secure a spot at the next Dappertude event and recommend all of our friends to do the same. Props to Johnny Li, founder of Dappertude, for organising such an event, as well as all those who helped out on the day.

To those we met, thank you for your time, insights and kind words, we look forward to seeing you flourish in your new found confidence. To all the businesses, bloggers and influencers, thank you once again, your services to our very niche community is invaluable and we hope you continue to grow with the dapper scene.
